oggetto:Notice for past tubeless rim customers

> We had a report today that a tubeless rim cracked along the bend near the outside lip and we wanted to alert you to this as a past tubeless rim customer so that you can check yours for any issues. It might have taken a hit while being ridden, but the metal was perhaps thin in one small area and stressed where shaped, which later lead to a tiny crack though no tire failure. Please go all around the outside of your tubeless rims and check for any crack running parallel along the bends, checking from the outside lip inward to just after the 90 degree bend towards the middle. (The middle sction is not a concern.) If you note any cracked paint or anything worrisome, inspect it closely and please reply and send a photo in to us if a problem and we will replace it for you. It's never easy inventing and manufacturing a completely new and complicated product, however, of all the rims we've sold over the years, only one problem of this sort had been reported. The others rims have been on the road for many years already, and numerous reports have come back about their safety benefits and even how lives were saved when tires were badly punctured at speed, yet no sudden blowout occurred as with normal rims. We inspect all our tubeless rims when made and destroy any that are faulty, and we re-inspected them when the one report was received just recently and also decided then to make them slightly thicker just to be better. With the report today we're sending out this notice to you. As both were made in a certain period last year, and no other reports over the years, it does appear to be a limited concern, but we want you to be aware of it and check yours anyway no matter when purchased. Even though you purchased recently, we'll repeat what what we told earlier customers: We want to do what is best for our customers, so if you are at all uncomfortable with your rims and would prefer to change to a brand new set, or even the harder stainless type, you can do so for 40% off of the regular price, the same applying to Yokohama tires which we can mount for you to make it all easier. To do this, put in AND pay for an order onsite and add a comment at checkout about the "40% off for past tubeless rim customers." As long as we can find your past tubeless rim order by name/email/etc., we will then refund 40% of the rims/tires cost. This is available until the end of the year if you want to think about it. Again, if there is any actual problem found with a rim after checking, we will replace it for you. Just reply with a photo and details. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thank you. se c'è la crepa fa la foto e mandagliela, ma preparati a smontarli e a rimendarglieli mi sa.. cmq se sono difettosi te li cambiano gratis, ma si offrono per farti stare più sereno di cambiarteli lo stesso anche se non sono difettosi con il 40% di sconto sui nuovi, fino alla fine dell'anno. il resto sono chiacchere sulle politiche per i consumatori e il lancio dei nuovi prodotti.

in ogni caso per loro la zona incriminata è nel raccordo tra la parte verticale del cerchio e la spalla lungo tutto il suo sviluppo, lì se trovi crepe fotografa e ti faranno sapere. alcuni che non hanno superato il controllo sono stati da loro distrutti e dicono che hanno controllato tutti quelli prodotti in ogni caso, ma per sicurezza dopo la segnalazione ricevuta vogliono allertare tutti. i nuovi li fanno con spessore maggiorato, segno che evidentemente il dubbio di aver esagerato con il limite gli è venuto. insomma fai sta foto al volo va e nel frattempo io rimetterei quelli normali. una curiosità, nella email chiedigli se in produzione li controllano con i soli liquidi penetranti (IPL CHECKING) oppure li sottopongono anche agli ultrasuoni (UT CHECKING) anche se solo a campione.

Ci e' stato riportato oggi che un cerchio tubeless si e' spaccato lungo la piega vicino il bordino esterno e volevamo avvertire i clienti cosi che possiate controllare i vostri per eventuali problemi.

Potrebbe aver preso colpi in corsa o forse la lamiera era fina in una piccola sezione e ne ha risentito quando e' stato stampato, che in seguito ha portato a una crepa e allo sgonfiiamento del pneumatico.

Controlla tutto intorno l'esterno del cerchio e controlla per crepe che corrono parallele lungo le pieghe, controllando dal fuori verso il dentro fino ad appena dopo la piega a 90 gradiverso il centro. (la sezione centrale non e' un problema).

Se noti una crepa nella vernice o qualcos'altro spedisci una foto e se c'e' un problema lo sostituiremo. Non e' facile inventare un prodotto completamente nuovo e cosi complicato dal nulla e comunque di tutti i cerchi che abbiamo venduto negli anni solo un caso e' stato riportato.

Tutti gli altri cerchi sono stati per strada per anni e ci e' stato segnalato numerose volte di quanto siano stati utili in termini di sicurezza e come vite siano state salvate quando le gomme si sono bucate in velocita e non sono scoppiate come sui cerchi tradizionali. Controlliamo tutti i cerchi prodotti e distruggiamo quelli che non passano, recentemente abbiamo decio di usare una lamiera piu spessa giusto per sicurezza aggiunta.

Con questo riporto oggi vi spediamo la notizia. Visto che i due (pensavo fosse solo uno.. NDR) cerchi sono stati prodotti nello stesso periodo, sembra che la preoccupazione sia limitata ma vogliamo comunque informarla e che controlli irrispettivamente di quando acquistati. Anche se recentemente, ripeteremo cio' che abbiamo detto ad altri clienti:

Vogliamo fare il miglior interesse dei nostri clienti e se non sei contento con i tuoi cerchi per qualsiasi motivo saremo contenti di cambiarli per un nuovo set o anche sostituirli per il nuovo tipo in acciaio inox con uno sconto del 40% sul prezzo di listino inclusi pneumatici yokohama gia montati per voi.

Per ottenere lo sconto e pagare per i nuovi cerchi con lo sconto del 40% aggiungi come commento "40% off for past tubeless rim customers." sempre che possiamo trovare nel nostro archivio i vostri dettagli, faremo il rimborso del 40%, l'offerta e' valida fino la fine dell'anno per darvi tempo per pensarci.
